The building is a plastic, continuous, malleable and meandering architectural form. This reflects the firm's idea that architecture is in essence a sculptural 3-dimensional urban construct. The site was located at nortthern part of the kuala lumpur city with the distance 3.5KM at the side road along the jalan sentul/ jalan enam and its linked to its sister D6, that is situated across the street, via a pedestrian footage. D7 SENTUL EAST, KUALA LUMPUR
D7 is a mixed development project consisting of office buildings that houses duplex sky offices, boutique offices with retail and F&B outlets. It is a low-rise development, being seven-storey high, but it has managed to draw in reputable tenants both international and local, such as Xtra Herman Miller, Bofi, Erco, Gira and Smeg. The offices at d7 are set to be modern, unlike the current poorly-maintained buildings around Sentul. Features include exclusive sky offices and garden suites, wireless broadband, and retail, food and beverage outlets throughout the building. The plans truly involve a lot of open space and natural lighting in this atrium. D7 is very well located at the fringe of city center, which will be great for any prospective employer and employee. It is next to the Sentul KTM Komuter station, as well as LRT stations. It is also about 10 minutes away to KL city and the prestigious neighborhood of Mont Kiara and Bukit Tunku.
Salty is my 1st taste getting at the site which before entering the car park/ building itself. It's affected by the neighbourhood building like heritage shop lots & old primary/secondary school at side of the roads. low rise building and low cost building design without urban green treatment. And the building design itself look Bauhaus style, rectangular form shape with the modern structure support and aluminum cladding and modular window glass. It's like a from black forest and German chocolate white cake with buttercream (yum) and Chocolate Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream and Chocolate Ganache. We're not know the interior space how does look like but the exteriors are attracting us to taste the surprising architecture born in this site environment.
After getting access into the building, it's give us a surprising to the green environment at a courtyard space with green creepers support by all the vertical steel cables. It's create green experience visual at every walkway with our human standing surrounded by the green like a cream allow you taste the cake.
From there, we can see the flowers and axis perspectives between the 2 block buildings covered by the green creepers and bridge connection. The architecture points is to show & experiments how the good building materials connect to the nature environments then the taste we get from the design.
One public retreat sitting space created near the lift lobby area surrounded by the flat landscape. It's to give us to touch and smell the nature while sitting the place to make a relax for our human body.
At the back of the building block, architect was created the high green wall is to respond to the building and the environment itself/respect the neighborhood privacy. So, they was built a small pond and a large leaf at the green wall, the objective is give us to maintain the environment taste inside the building and this also create a green boundary from the inside to outside. It's like a human staying between in the jungle and the city living. Or like we taste the cake flavor before and after. It's giving to memories their buildings and to welcome us always.

"I try to catch the atmosphere of the place where we build the house. We try to find out how the people live there and what kind of materials they use. After we find out the atmosphere of the place, we will think how we can relate that with the architecture."
'If the journey of the ingredients is too long, the taste of the sushi is compromised. That is a problem that can't be solved by modern technology, and that programme of using local material in season is the secret of good taste, and the secret of my style.'

D7 SENTUL EAST,
KUALA LUMPUR
Sense of architecture (Sight)
D7 (also known as d7 @ Sentul East ) is an office block that is part of YTL's urban renewal project of Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. The commercial office was launched by YTL Land on the 8th of September 2007 and situated upon freehold land. It sits on Jalan Enam and is linked to its sister, d6 , that is situated across the street, via a pedestrian footbridge.
Designed by RT+Q Architects Pte Ltd, d7 was conceptualized to redefine traditional office spaces and offer a new type of office environment in Kuala Lumpur. Featuring cutting-edge duplex sky offices, and boutique offices with retail and F&B outlets, encased in a lush landscaped courtyard atrium area, d7 was designed to create work space for organizations who wants to be able to differentiate themselves.
The building in itself is an iconic form – bold, simple and with a severe façade dominated by ‘L’ shaped slivers that form windows. The idea was to create a different, strong and unified façade for d7.
When the first time I saw this building, I feel the building is out of the ordinary and it amazed me , because it was totally different with other office buildings that we saw. The building facade is bold and playful but as you walked into the building it has an endearing courtyard that allow user to enjoy the glamorous nature which give a sense of relaxation and this helped to reduce the level of work pressure while working together with allowing a person to be "fully charged" mentally and physically.
There are lots of lush landscapes around the building where the extensive landscaping and a sunken outdoor garden ensure not only connection to greenery but also provide a cool and shaded ambient environment for the occupants. It have successfully capture people staying in the space, while people feeling they are ” staying indoor as like in outdoor”.
Furthermore, it gives a prompt that will make you want take more pictures of the building to share it with others, and to study more about the building to the extent of understanding the story that created such unique building.

A building in Kuala Lumpur which perfectly plays with 1 or more human senses.
On the 1th of April, my friend and I had a awesome birthday celebration at Rumah Kebun Hulu Langat. Only few of us stay overnight at this place because some of them having design tutorial on the next day. The party start at 6pm but I reach around 10pm. All the surrounding already dark when I reached and I am excited at playing around with my friend. We sing, play game, having war at the swimming pool. At that time, I doesn’t realise how beautiful was the place is.
Kebun house was built in the tropical jungles, far away from the city. Early in the morning, I was awakened by the sound from the outdoor. I can faintly hear the sound of nature was calling me. I stepped outside the Rumah Kebun after I awake, the very first thing that strikes me is the immense stillness of nature. Stillness is not silence. Rather it is a beauty that makes the environment seem so peaceful and perfect. Within the stillness many sounds can be heard, but the stillness is not disturbed.

Warbling magpies in tree trilling, melodic thrill - “Running Water” by Lee Emmett
The best time to hear the sounds of nature is early in the morning when most of activity have stopped and nature is intimately present. After the sun rises, the birds start to sing. Magpie-robins, mynahs, spotted doves, sparrows and bulbubs all sing out their songs. In this wild land, milliards of insects bustle around, and some unknown animals move through the wilderness making a strange noise, but they do not disturb the peace. In fact these sounds are part of the peace of this natural environment. In every corner of the jungles you can hear the songs of wonderful birds.

Walking nearer to the bridge, I could hear Soothing sounds of water flowing though rocks are natural sources of white noise, ideal for blocking out environmental noises and distractions. The sound of streaming water just wash my daily worries away. The sounds of nature are sweet and gentle. Man-made sounds always force their presence onto our ears. The sounds of nature do not force, so we have to be attentive. They can be heard. The clicking of a gecko lizard, the patter of rain on the roof, the roar of thunder, the howl of the wind, the rustling of leaves – all are as alive as the ears that can hear them. I have ears that can hear the sweet sounds of nature and I am glad for it.

L45 - Kurau Community Library
In Architecture--
The sense of touch is spread thought whole body. Nerve endings in the skin and in other parts of the body send information to the brain. We can feel the things by touching. Differences of materials can be feel differently by touching the surface. The reason I choose L45 community library is because the design and materials used for this building is unique. L45 community library is using raw materials as the main ideas of feel the original feeling that the materials gives. Without the typical finishes that apply to the building, it make the building more interesting.
Before we enter the library we can actually can see the unique facade, that design with the raw concrete slab, bare brick, and metal mesh. Although the facade looks strong and solid, but it blend well with the nature. Before entering the library, the entrance was made by rough concrete. When you passing by the concrete entrance you can feel the rough concrete surface, that giving the feeling of entrance of entering the library.
When we walking on the agregate floor, it create the a stone friction sound. The agregate also keep people walking slow, because it give a pain feeling alhtough walking with shoes. By touching the agregate with the bare foot you will feel pain, it keep people not to walk so much on the floor. That will disturb ohers enjoying study.
1. By touching the rough wall you will feel cold, and it adding in some green elements it make the builidng warm abit.
2. Metal mesh door giving a blur effect for the use and guest have a barrel. Something that is not so clear, makes you want to know more.
3. The staircase material isusing metal mesh as the floor material. When you try to sit on it to you will feel pain, it is not suitable for people to sit on the staircase to study.

The sense of touch giving human difference experience in the world. Form touching the materials we can sense the function and the what is the architect try to let the client feels. Touch is the most biggest sense on human body, so it effect alot for human. Pain, hot, cold, amd other feelings are come from the touch sense. By experiencing the L45 community library with the idea of sense. It makes me rethink about the important of senses give to humans. Not only with the sense of touch,I have also learn a lot from difference senses.
In Science--
Our sense of touch is controlled by a huge network of nerve endings and touch receptors in the skin known as the somatosensory system. This system is responsible for all the sensations we feel - cold, hot, smooth, rough, pressure, tickle, itch, pain, vibrations, and more. Within the somatosensory system, there are four main types of receptors: mechanoreceptors, thermoreceptors, pain receptors, and proprioceptors.
